Chicago Bulls. Since the Chicago Bulls joined the NBA for the 1966-67 season, and the Bulls has put excellent teams on the court, such as the tough teams of the mid-1970s. Everything changed in the mid-1980s with the drafting of Michael Jordan, the dominant player of his era and possibly the greatest player of all time. Jordan won seven straight scoring titles with a combination of breathtaking slam dunks and shots.

Jordan put up some of the biggest numbers in NBA history with the Chicago Bulls, and wrote the most memorable chapters in the annals of the league. In the 1990s the Bulls won three consecutive NBA titles, becoming the third team in history to string together a trio of crowns. After more than a year playing professional baseball, Jordan returned to lead the Bulls to another title in 1996, one in 1997 and a third in 1998, the Bulls' second three-peat of the decade and their sixth NBA championship trophy. Cheer for the Bulls this season at the United Center.  [Top]

Chicago Cubs. In 1876, the Chicago Cubs, originally called the Chicago White Stockings, became one of eight charter members of the National League. The White Stockings won the inaugural National League championship, and played on as the Cubs to become one of baseball's first dynasties, winning six of the first 11 titles.

The Chicago Cubs won their first World Series in 1907, defeating the Detroit Tigers and Ty Cobb, and followed up with a second consecutive World Championship victory. In 2004, Cubs excitement peaked when Greg Maddux became the 22nd Major League pitcher to win 300 games, Sosa became the club's all-time home run leader, and the Cubs boasted four 30-home run hitters for the first time in Cub's history.  [Top]
Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Don’t miss the Chicago Cubs round the bases at historic Wrigley Field, a legendary ballpark and one of the most famous Chicago attractions. Wrigley ranks as the second-oldest ballpark in the Majors behind Fenway Park in Boston, making it a classic pillar of Chicago. Wrigley Field, built in 1914, is playing host to Major League Baseball for the 93rd season in 2006 - and to the Cubs for the 91st year.

One of Wrigley Field's historic moments was Babe Ruth's "called shot," when Ruth pointed to a bleacher location during Game 3 of the 1932 World Series, and then hit Charlie Root's next pitch for a homer. Call 773-404-2827 for Chicago Cubs tickets or visit www.chicago.cubs.mlb.com.  [Top]
